The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) is the duly ratified 28th Constitutional Amendment that guarantees equal rights to all people regardless of sex. In 2020, the ERA satisfied all the requirements to be ratified but was wrongfully blocked by Trump's administration.
President Biden now has the authority, responsibility, and opportunity to institute this critical protection for women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ Americans ahead of the second Trump administration. For this to happen, we need a mass grassroots movement campaign urging him to take action. This is one of the most impactful actions we, the American people, can take in these remaining weeks ahead of the next presidential administration.

Washington, D.C. – Biden Publish the ERA Alliance will host a town hall to discuss the path forward for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). Currently, President Biden has the authority, responsibility, and opportunity to certify this critical protection for women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ Americans before the next Trump administration. This event will dive into the history, significance, and current status of the ERA, and the next steps to take on the grassroots level.
The town hall will feature Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, who has led the charge on enshrining the ERA into the Constitution.
